2006 Riesling $12 bottle
-- $6 glass
Presenting a flower scented, delicate but complex nose, Creekside’s
Riesling is off-dry and retains both a pleasant acidity and higher
sugar levels than most of our wines. The palette is spicy and
expressive, reminiscent of peaches, apricots and pears with a
pleasant, lingering finish. |

2006 Gewürztraminer
-- $16

glass

2006 Chardonnay $20 bottle -- $7 glass
Our 2006 Chardonnay more than lives up to Creekside's standard for fine wine. Aged sur lie (on the yeast lees) for nine months on 100% new French oak, this wine displays citric notes of lemon and pineapple with some underlying tropical melon, rounded out by tasty, warm, smokey components from the oak. |
|
|
2006 Viognier $20
bottle -- $7 glass
This Rhone varietal is shown at its brightest in this particular
wine. An exceptionally well developed crop gives this wine an astute
richness not found in other Viogniers. With floral qualities, the
wonderfully candied nose leads into layer after layer of brilliant
fruit, including peach, apricot, apple and melon. The higher alcohol
content compounded with a fair amount of glycerol give an illusion
of sweetness, even though the wine is technically dry. Let this wine
accompany your next Thai stir-fry, sushi, as well as light cheeses
and fruits. |

tropical fruit. The light mouth feel is crisp and refreshing with a
delightfully clean finish. Drink this wine at your next picnic or
with a variety of fruits and cheeses as an aperitif. |

2004 Cabernet Franc
-- $20 bottle – $7 glass
One of the parent grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc is
lower in tannins and acid, displaying more leafy tea, stone fruit
and herbaceous notes. The complex tannin structure that results from
aging the wine 24 months in 50% new and 50% neutral Seguin Moreau
American oak barrels will allow this wine to mature well for more
than ten years. |

2006 Syrah "The Vinelands"
-- $25 bottle – $8 glass
2006 was a rewarding vintage. Our Estate Vineyard, “The Vinelands”, produced this Syrah displaying dark ruby coloration, with aromatic, complex fruit, including black cherry, blackberry and raspberry. Secondly, more subtle aromatic notes such as spice and wood linger. These soft woods include oak, cedar and maple. The mouth feel is medium to full-bodied, with moderately firm tannins, mid-palate sweetness, tart acidity, ripe fruit flavors, and plenty of oak influence expressed in the finish. The 2006 Syrah was aged in new French Oak barrels for 16 months.
